Sweeten Your Celebration with Modern Cakes and Stylish Party Ideas!
March 30, 2010
Hi there, party friends!
It's been a while since we've seen each other!
Sports season has begun, so life at my house with four teenagers has kicked into full gear. That thing they call "time" is hard to come by these days, but not to worry...I'm still using every spare minute I can to keep fun party ideas coming your way!
Here are just a few new happenings since our last chat:
So, pour yourself a drink and get cozy...I've got some fun things to show you!
Okay, so when it comes to cake decorating, I have two new favorite decorating supplies...ribbons and chocolate!
I've discovered that ribbon adds instant color and pizazz to a simple layer cake, and chocolate can be melted and piped to create extraordinary cake toppers!
See what I mean by checking out the High Heel Shoe cake, the Palm Tree / Animal Print Cake, and the Justin Bieber Cake that I made (the Justin Bieber cake is on our Facebook page...you may have to be a fan of the page to see that one).
They really turned out so well...and the ribbon idea is EASY!
When my little guy was younger I threw him the cutest little Wild West party!
All of the kids came dressed up in their "Wild West" best, and we had such a great time!
From digging for gold to horse racing, there was plenty to keep the kids entertained.
I also had a fabulous Cowboy Party submission from one of my site visitors.
She left no detail unattended and her party was spectacular!
You can see her terrific photos and ideas here.
Planning parties is fun, but it takes a lot of time and effort.
When the party is over, don't you just feel like forwarding all of your photos to everyone to show off your hard work?
Well, now you can share your success with the world...just like Amy shared her Cowboy Party above.
Everyone is always looking for great party ideas, so why not give them something to be inspired by?
A new feature has been added to the site that allows you to share all of your amazing party ideas, as well as post photos for all to see!
Your party will be featured on Passion-for-Parties.com on its very own web page, where visitors will be able to see (and comment on) your submission.
It is sooo much fun have people looking at your ideas and getting inspired by your creativity!
So if you've thrown an awesome party or know someone who has, join in on the show and tell. It's going to be a blast!
Like the idea of showing off? Yep, I know you do!
In that case, you can also show off your:
A good number of you submitted recipes to kick off our "party recipe show and tell" in an effort to win a HUGE party cookbook.
You can see all of the delicious submissions here.
Dina Portik of New Jersey was chosen at random as our lucky winner and received a FREE copy of the Party Food Cookbook.
Her winning entry, Fettucine Alfredo, sounds AMAZING! Congratulations, Dina!
The world-wide-web is a biiiigggg place, and it's hard to get recognized out there!
I'm really proud to say that even though I'm a self-taught, work-at-home-web-mama, somehow I've managed to get this website exposure in over 90 countries!
Isn't that mind-blowing?!!
Even still, my little website is just a wee tiny speck on the map, and I'm trying really hard to turn it into a more of a "dot." Yes, I have big dreams! Ha, ha!
That being said I could sure use the help of you, my party friends!
If you haven't already, join us today! And, if you're feeling really generous, pass the links on to all of your blogging and Facebook friends!
I'd really appreciate it!
I try to add a few things each week to these pages to keep the party juices flowing...some of which won't be found on the actual website.
A few examples:
Check it all out!
If you like these ideas, share them with a friend! The more the merrier!:)
If this was passed on to you from a friend and you want to get in on the fun, you can subsribe now for this free monthly newsletter!
Well, that's it for this time!
As always, if you have any ideas, questions, comments, etc., feel free to shoot them my way. I love hearing from you all!
Thanks for reading, and Happy Holidays!
