I whipped up some fun invites in Photoshop using a pic that I took at a bar in NYC.

They set the mood perfectly!

Brew Bash Party Decorations

Decorating for this party was such fun!

I wanted the party to really have a "pub" feel, which was a challenge since the party was being hosted in our living room.

However, I have to say, I think we pulled it off...and you can, too!

Here's what we did:

First, we moved all of the furniture out of the room and added bar tables.

Here's the room at 2:00 p.m.... ...and here it is at party time.

Cool, right? The tables were really inexpensive to rent...I think only about $8 each. We also rented a few bar stools, but not many, because we wanted people mingling.
All of the tables were covered with black tablecloths, then sprinkled with peanuts.
Beer cartons were used to catch the empty peanut shells as well as add some decorative interest.

Beer bottle caps played a big part in the decor (that's only fitting for a beer tasting party, right)?

I used them to make some fun "baubles" for the mantle...

....and both in and on glass cylinders.

Beer bottles and beer pictures were easy and inexpensive decorations that were incorporated into the party.
Beer bottles lined the shelves and were placed randomly throughout the party area.
Pictures of beer and bar taps that I'd taken while on a trip to NYC were blown up (really inexpensively) on Snapfish.com and framed. AllPosters.com has an awesome selection of beer posters, also, and they run free shipping deals pretty frequently.

You know how all of the pubs write their beer specials on a chalkboard? Well, I thought that incorporating that idea into our beer tasting party would be a fun touch! My neighbor was nice enough to lend me her huge chalkboard, and it did just the trick! It displayed our pub menu, the beers that we had "on tap," as well as a little note stating that cake shots were on the house! (It was a birthday party, after all...). {wink, wink}

I was able to choose the color of the napkins, the color of the personalization, and exactly what I wanted the napkins to say. They turned out perfectly!

Since this was a beer party, a great deal of the food was served in shot glasses. I got a fantastic deal on glasses in bulk from a restaurant supply store.
