| Here's the room at 2:00 p.m.... | ...and here it is at party time. |

Cool, right? The tables were really inexpensive to rent...I think only about $8 each. We also rented a few bar stools, but not many, because we wanted people mingling.
All of the tables were covered with black tablecloths, then sprinkled with peanuts.
Beer cartons were used to catch the empty peanut shells as well as add some decorative interest.
I used them to make some fun "baubles" for the mantle...

....and both in and on glass cylinders.
|
Beer bottles lined the shelves and were placed randomly throughout the party area.
Pictures of beer and bar taps that I'd taken while on a trip to NYC were blown up (really inexpensively) on Snapfish.com
and framed. AllPosters.com has an awesome
selection of beer posters,
also, and they run free shipping deals pretty frequently.

Beer Tasting Party Supplies
How awesome are these personalized napkins from PlatesAndNapkins.com?!!
I was able to choose the color of the napkins, the color of the personalization, and exactly what I wanted the napkins to say. They turned out perfectly!
P&N has a huge variety of plates, as well, and I decided to go with gold. Everything looked great with the party decor!
Definitely pay PlatesAndNapkins a visit when you're ready to purchase your brew party paper goods...you won't be disappointed!
Since this was a beer party, a great deal of the food was served in shot glasses. I got a fantastic deal on glasses in bulk from a restaurant supply store.
Adorable mini spoons that were the perfect size for the food "shots" were purchased from Bake it Pretty.
Beer Tasting Party: The Menu
The menu for this bash was all about pub favorites!
I served as much as I could out of shot glasses to keep with the theme, and added a "build your own slider" station to jazz things up a little bit.
Here's what we served:
Loaded Baked Potato Soup Shots
|
Shrimp Cocktail Shots
|
Birthday Cake Shots
|
Tangy Bruschetta on Baguettes
|
Honey Glazed Chicken Wings
|
Cheeseburger Sliders with Chipotle Mayo![]() Photo credit: FoodNetwork.com |
We also had unlimited peanuts and pretzels!
