Cookie Dough Dip
While most people are making New Year's diet resolutions, I'm hiding in my closet with a spoon and a cold bowl of cookie dough dip.
Go ahead. Laugh. Judge me. You're gonna be running for your sweat pants and doing the same thing by the time you finish reading this page.
I'm not even kidding.
When I was a kid I used to get in trouble for eating raw cookie dough because my mom was terrified that I was going to get salmonella poisoning.
I never did get sick, but I carried on the tradition with my kids and always issue them the same warning. Partially because I don't want them to get sick, but
mostly because I just want the cookie dough for myself.
Well, worry no more about poisoning, my friends!
Jessica of the "How Sweet It Is" blog has shared with us an amazing dip that tastes just like cookie dough...and has no eggs!
That's right, you can eat as much as you want and you won't get sick. At least not from salmonella, anyway.

Cookie Dough Dip Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 8-ounce block of cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and whisk until sugar dissolves and mixture starts to bubble. Set aside to cool, and
whisk in vanilla.
Beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar for one minute with an electic mixer. With mixer on low speed, add in brown sugar and butter mixture.
Mix until combined. Fold in 3/4 cup chocolate chips, or mix them in with the blender if you'd like them to be chopped up a bit.
Garnish with remaining chocolate chips. Serve cold with animal crackers, graham crackers, or teddy grahams.

Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
