Lemonade Party: A Bright and Cheery Sunshine Soiree
Sunshine soiree. Lemonade party. The cheery words alone just ooze sweetness, don't they?!!
And so do each of the delicate details that my dear friend Aimee of Aimee Broussard Events put into this amazing party!
Aimee designed this first birthday party for her adorable little niece, Emery, and it truly was a labor of love.
Along with the help of her amazingly talented family, Aimee created an event that is the epitomy of sunshine and happiness.
She was generous enough to share her photos and ideas with us, in hopes that you'll be inspired to design your very own sunshine soiree.
So sit back and be prepared to soak in the sweetness...there are lots of delicious details heading your way!
Sunshine and Lemonade Party Invites
These little invites were handmade by Aimee's sister...the birthday girl's mommy.
She printed the party details on cardstock, then adhered the cardstock to scrapbook paper in bright, sunshine-y colors.
Baby pearls and a flower cut-out finish the look.
My absolute favorite detail? The lyrics to "You Are My Sunshine" dancing along the top and bottom of the invite. So cute!
Sunshine and Lemonade Party Decor
The little details are what made this soiree so incredibly sweet!
Mason jars were dressed up with lace, filled with fresh flowers, and lined up along the front walkway to give a warm welcome to all of the party guests.
Once inside, bright and cheery pillows made by Aimee's mother adorned an entryway bench and added a splash of sunshine. The personalized applique by Heather of
The Sewing Loft was an adorable touch!
The tablescape that Aimee created was positively stunning! Parasols hung above the table for an unexpected splash of color, and the beautiful eyelet tablecloth added a
feminine, vintage feel.
Fresh flowers and a gorgeous canvas photo of the birthday girl completed the look.
The most impressive element of all, and my favorite, was the spectacular lemonade stand that the birthday girl's daddy and grandfather constructed. Isn't it
amazing?!!
Tissue paper poms and ribbon (that Aimee hand tied into the tree branches) brought all of the decor together and created a positively gorgeous party area. Can't you just
feel the sunshine and a warm breeze when looking at this picture?
And of course, the party decor wouldn't be complete without a little something special for the birthday girl! Aimee's mom, Cathy of
CustomCathy.com, made a super sweet personalized banner to dress up Emery's high chair. So very cute!
Sunshine and Lemonade Party: On the Menu
All of the food on the party menu was made with love by Aimee and her family.
Here's what was served:
- Lemon squares,
- Whoopie pies (that they named Sunny Pies),
- Mini sandwiches (Sunny Sammies),
- Crawfish dip,
- Twinkies,
- Lemon drops,
- Rock candy, and of course,
- Freshly squeezed lemonade!
Sunshine and Lemonade Birthday Cake
Emery's first birthday cake was nothing short of spectacular!
Pulling inspiration from the lyrics and the flowers on the invitation, The Cake Barn of Pineville,
Louisiana really hit this one out of the park!
Sunshine and Lemonade Party Favors
The simplicity and sweetness of these party favors blow me away...cupcakes in mason jars!
Seriously, does it get any cuter?
A framed sign that stood by the favors read: "Glad you stopped by to play, hope this cupcake makes your day."
Easy, affordable and adorable!
