About Me

Hi! I'm Jennifer, the girl behind Passion-for-Parties.com.

I'm so very glad that you dropped by, and I hope you're finding lots of fun ideas for your next party!

I thought it would probably be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself...mainly because it's good to know who you're doing business with, but also because I hope my story will inspire you.

In a nutshell, I'm just the girl next door...a wife, a mom, and a friend...who happens to throw some fun parties!

I've always been a bit of a social butterfly, and throwing parties has always been a true passion of mine. I just love every aspect of throwing a party...it's such fun!

I especially love seeing everyone having a great time. It's the best reward for all of the effort that goes into getting ready for the big event!

I don't really have any "formal" party planning experience, but I've thrown lots of parties over the years. I also served as the head of event planning for the company that I used to work for.

All of my parties have gotten rave reviews, and I have officially (and affectionately) earned the title of "cruise director" thanks to a few of my supporters!

Not too long ago I was a working mom, probably like a lot of you.

I had a full-time job that I was content with, but definitely not crazy about, and I was totally guilt-ridden about not having enough time with my kids. They were all school-aged, so you wouldn't think that I was missing much, but I really felt like I was.

I had always been a very hands-on mom...starting up play groups, serving on the Board of Directors at preschool, getting the kids involved in community activities...earning money to stay at home with my kids by babysitting for other people's children.

So, when my kids started school, it was time for me to go back into the real working world again. No more quality time with my little ones...or so it felt like... and I was heartbroken.

They would ask me all of the time to go eat lunch with them at school, to join them on a field trip, or to go to a class party, and the majority of the time, that wonderful full-time job kept me from doing any of it.

In addition to that, the summer breaks just killed me. While all of the other kids got to go on fun vacations, spend time at the pool, or hang out with friends, my kids got to go to Rec Camp.

Rec Camp, though, isn't really a fun camp at all...it's basically a 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m daycare with a cool name. The kids hated it, and so did I. Not to mention the fact that by the time we paid for all four kids to go to Rec Camp, my paycheck was totally gone. I was basically working 40 hours a week to pay for my kids to go to this place that they couldn't stand.

After long months of searching for a job that would be flexible...allowing me to work from home,spend more time with my kids, and still earn a decent income... I was at a loss.

I'd scoured every newspaper ad and spent endless hours on the internet, only to find tons of illegitimate offers and "get rich quick" schemes. I had resolved myself to the fact that the type of job I was looking for just didn't exist.

During one of my late-night dates with the internet job postings, I came across an opportunity that stood apart from the rest. It was a video about a guy... a dad...with a story similar to mine, who started a birthday party website.

After seeing that video, I spent days watching it over and over again, and researching everything I could about Site Build It (SBI). I was very skeptical, but incredibly intrigued.

I didn't have a lot of computer experience so how in the world could I possibly have a website?

But, this guy did it. Could I too?

I finally decided to bite the bullet. I was going to give it a whirl. If I failed, I really wouldn't be any worse off, and if I succeeded, I would have exactly what I was looking for.

Well, it didn't take me long to realize that I had made one of the best choices of my life.

SBI walked me step-by-step through building a website, holding my hand and offering support every step of the way.

Before I knew it, my very own website was live on the world wide web...and people were visiting it!

Today, I have tens of thousands of people visiting my website from all over the world, and I make money each and every day.

I work when I want, I volunteer at my kids schools, I go on field trips, and I don't miss any sporting events because I can't get out of work.

SBI has made my dream come true, and I am happier than ever!
