Delicious Satay Recipe
Looking for an appetizer that's easy and delicious? You've got to give this satay recipe a try!
The meat is sliced really thin so it's nice and tender, and the flavor just explodes in your mouth...yummy!
For this recipe we used flank steak and bottled teriyaki marinade, but the same technique can also be used with chicken or shrimp and your favorite marinade.
For This Recipe You'll Need:
- 2 lb. flank steak, cut diagonally into 1/4-inch slices (the meat slices best when it's been frozen for about 10-20 minutes)
- One large bottle of marinade (we used Ken's Honey Teriyaki)
- Red pepper flakes, optional (if you want to add a little bit of a kick)
- Wooden skewers
Combine the meat and the marinade in a shallow dish or ziploc bag and seal. Chill for about 4 hours or so, turning occasionally.
Saok the wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes so they won't burn on the grill.
Remove the meat from the marinade and thread each piece onto a skewer.
Grill the skewers over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they meet your desired level of doneness.
